Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize winning drama "Long Day's Journey Into Night" puts light into the universal problem of our world: Alcohol and drug addiction. Performed by International group. Welcome!

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Price–winning play "Long Day’s Journey into Night" depicts a family torn by addiction and grief. At the play’s opening, the four Tyrone members return from breakfast. James Tyrone, the father, is a financially successful actor who is nevertheless dissatisfied with his career. His wife, Mary, is a recovering morphine addict who is struggling with loneliness and the loss of a child. She has recently returned from the sanatorium. Soon the family learns that the younger son, Edmund, has been diagnosed with consumption. His illness reopens old wounds that have never really healed, especially for Mary. Meanwhile, the elder son, Jamie, slides deeper into alcoholism, feeling rejected by his father and regarding himself as a failure.

O’Neill’s play shows how people often turn to denial and escapism rather than confronting the situation and dealing with it. The play is strongly autobiographical, and it was published only after O’Neill’s death.
