Free concerts throughout the summer – Summer Park Concerts expand to two new venues

Tampere's traditional Summer Park Concerts are back again, spreading to the city's parks and cultural venues. The concerts start on 30 May at Tammelantori market square and the summer will end on 26 August at Laikunlava outdoor stage with heavy music. All Summer Park Concerts are free of charge.

This year, the Summer Park Concerts will also have two brand new venues: the Nekala Cultural Centre and the Suolijärvi outdoor lodge in Hervanta. In the Nekala Cultural Centre, the concerts will take place on the terrace of Restaurant Nekalab or, in case of rain, inside the restaurant. In Hervanta you can also go swimming or enjoy a nature trail around the lake before or after the concert.

Summer Park Concerts are held almost daily from June to August, with music to suit all tastes. There’s music for all tastes, from the lighter to the heavier, from local up-and-comers to more experienced acts.

In June, Laikunlava outdoor stage will also host two special concerts. On Tuesday 9 June, the Summer Park Concerts will celebrate Manse Pride week and on Wednesday 10 June, folk dances will be performed at a concert organised in collaboration with Pispala Schottische International Folklore Festival.

All concerts are free of charge and open to all.
