Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about the Summer Park Concerts.

  • No, it doesn’t. We receive around 200 applications every year, and reviewing them takes time. The people responsible for production also have other tasks to perform, which also affects the amount of time available. This means that we are unable to send out all performance offers at the same time.

  • The selection of performers and the compilation of the concert program is the sum of many parts. In addition to the desired performance venue, the concert program is influenced by factors such as the performers’ schedules and the profiles of the performance venues. We receive dozens of applications for the most popular venues in relation to the number of performance slots available. For this reason, we also ask applicants to list their second-choice venues and offer them performances there as well.

  • Summer Park Concerts are looking for amateur musicians to perform. The Finnish Musicians’ Union’s fee recommendations apply to professional musicians. The total budget for Summer Park Concerts is relatively small, but we want to give as many bands as possible the opportunity to perform.

  • The billing instructions are included in the concession contract.
