Welcome to plant seedlings at Varsanpuisto in Takahuhti on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 5–7 p.m. You can participate according to your own schedule. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Welcome to learn about the implementation of nature-based solutions at Varsanpuisto and participate in planting seedlings! Pre-grown floodplain and ditch bank plants are planted in the volunteer event. The seeds have been hand-collected from the surrounding area. You will get to learn about the local wetland species and try planting seedlings in a different environment.
The event will be held on 30 September 2026 from 5–7 pm at Varsanpuisto in Takahuhti. You can participate according to your own schedule. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Please bring your own rain boots. Gloves and tools will be provided by the event organizers.
The event is organized by the City of Tampere and the Wild Zone Association as part of the City Blues project. The project is funded by the EU's Baltic Sea Region Interreg programme.
Please register by Sunday 27 September at the latest.
