Virta Wednesday Concert: Sami Sippola Trio - Jazz to the tune of folk music

Famous jazz musicians are inspired by folk music. Performing are Sami Sippola, tenor saxophone; Juho Kanervo, double bass and Janne Tuomi, drums. Doors and the café open at 5:15 PM. The Wednesday concerts, which started in spring 2026, will be held in the Hiomo hall of the Virta Library and Culture House. The sound reproduction of the concerts is excellent, and it is produced in collaboration with Pirkka College. There are about two Wednesday concerts in the autumn season and the same in the spring season, and they present different music genres and interesting musicians from the Nokia area. Listener feedback from the Ilme String Quartet concert: "I've never heard anything like this in Nokia!" The Hiomo hall can accommodate about 120 listeners.
