Ectatic Summer Dances at Haihara

THE ECSTATIC SUMMER DANCES in the enchanting, historical milieu of Haihara Manor will continue - with natural elements caressing all the senses in Haihara! 

We dance in the atmospheric Valjasvaja opposite to Haihara Kahvikamari and in the park area in front of it - with a roof over our heads if it rains.

Most of the dances are affordable, low-threshold opportunities to explore and delve into the world of authentic movement. A short guided dance-movement therapy practise will lead you on a free expression Ecstatic Dance Journey.

Ecstatic Dance is a space for completely free, authentic bodily expression and movement - also through your voice! Freedom to release our innermost feelings in a safe and drug-free space. Play, rejoice, roar, cry, shake and just be present with your body and feelings.

You do not need to have any prior experience in dance, conscious and intuitive dance or dance movement therapy. Your expression and movement can be anything and it doesn't have to be anything! 

During the dance journey, there is no talking on the dance floor. Multidimensional music takes you on a journey through the rhythms of the world, different qualities of being and emotional states.

The dances are open to the whole family. Children are welcome for free and under the responsibility of their own adults, taking into account that the event may involve strong emotions, such as anger.

KATARIINA ELONKEHRÄ / GAIARIINA, creator of Mielettömät Tanssit, is a passionate dancer, body-mind therapist, cupper, instructor of dance-movement therapeutic methods, as well as a ceremonialist and somatic coach. In addition to dance and somatics, drum journeys, nature-spiritual rituals, birth, cyclicity and rites of passages are at the core of her work. Katariina has walked a rich path of dance and somatics and shamanism for over 12 years and has expressed herself throughout her life through free movement, different dance genres and methods.
