A new cultural trail about the interesting history and architecture of a modern district of its time. The trail is about 3 km long, so it is worth wearing good shoes. Only in Finnish
The new cultural trail, developed by cultural companions, introduces the Kaleva district, its history and architecture. Kaleva was a modern district in its time, with open courtyards and the abandonment of closed blocks. Kaleva's history includes a prison camp during the Civil War, brick factories and family allotment gardens. The walk ends at the fish-shaped Kaleva Church via the Kaleva towers. The trail is about 3 kilometres long, so it is recommended to wear suitable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. The trail will be cancelled in case of heavy rain. NB. Only in Finnish.
