SOULWORK single release gig and discussion session - Markus Savander @Kahvilakauppa

What is your soul's work? What attracts you with such force that resistance and rationalization are useless?

And what is your picture of the world, people, life? What kind of shadows have you encountered within yourself?

Is humanity on the verge of total madness and the end of the world, or do we perhaps still have hope?

Where does hope come from in the first place?

Markus Savander will release a single called Sieluntyöta (Thu 4.6.) and the release will be celebrated with a gig at Kahvilakauppa on Saturday 13.6. from 5 pm.

The song is inspired by the study of the “inner orphan” archetype.

The orphan within us is the part of us that feels abandoned, missing out on something important, left out, rejected or ignored. The orphan within us feels alone and unprotected and longs for security, support, acceptance and to be seen.

Our often unmet inner orphan is activated and surfaces when we are in the midst of creative activity or self-expression, whether it is music or anything else. The orphan does not believe that it is talented enough or that it is wanted or heard. He may be driven to hide when it is time to come forward or otherwise sabotage his efforts.

It is essential to create a connection with this part so that trust and the experience of belonging come into life - and so that our natural gifts come to the fore and are celebrated by others.

The release gig will be combined with relaxed moments of discussion, which Markus guides with his solid experience as a group leader between the songs.

Music is capable of awakening a wide range of thoughts and feelings in the listener: the mind expands and emotions flow. However, it is rarer to share insights with others, listening to others and being heard yourself.

We gently break the invisible interface between the performer and the audience at the event, when the participants also get to express their experiences and views! We are all participants in a shared communal space.

In addition, Jaakko from Kahvilakaupan will present his vision of the power and possibilities of community!
