My Life as an Imaginary Horse

A horse is present in this room. Your breath is connected to the same warm, hay-scented vapor that horses breathe through their soft muzzle. Here you can sense the horse's calming presence. Feel its smooth coat, the strength and warmth emanating from its body. Hear its sound as it crunches hay, blows air out of its nostrils. All of the previous horses tht I have taken care of are in this room. And ponies too.

Weigh your heart and examine your own relationship with the hooved ones. Are you a horse girl? (Horse girlhood is possible for everyone, regardless of gender. At least temporarily.) Are you a unicorn chaser, a stable worker, a top rider, or that annoying guy at the stable? Are you afraid of horses? If you were a horse, would you be cold-blooded or warm-blooded? I sometimes wonder, if I saw a horse here and now, what I would say to it. 

I have drunk water from the same bowl as a horse. I have shared my lunch with one Kiltsi many times. I would like to try being a horse someday. Sometimes I feel like I am. I don't know why. Somehow, with them, you have to be more yourself. Forget about putting on a show. 

But my horseness is not what many people seem to value in a horse. Some certain appearance, color, gait, lineage, strength, speed, proportions, usability, adaptability to anything. Those mentioned above are completely different qualities. My horseness is related to listening, sensitivity, curiosity, mischievousness and, above all, trust in the creatures around me. That's what being a horse girl is.

And it's also what sometimes makes you want to kick.
