Markus Savander is a 41-year-old wordsmith and songwriter from Tampere whose often profoundly soulful, at times insightfully humorous or ruthlessly direct lines sometimes unfold as poems and sometimes take the shape of songs. His music could be described as either rock-infused folk or folk-tinged rock, depending on the track.
Markus released his music in the form of a solo EP, “Vetten viestit”, in 2020. In addition, his band Mutaset Kukat has released two EPs, “Mutaset Kukat” (2019) and “Alkuvoima” (2021), both available on streaming platforms. After a fairly long release break, in spring 2026 he will release the single “Sieluntyötä” as a solo artist and, together with his band, the single “Takaisin Taoon.”
At the Summer Park ConcertMarkus will perform his songs solo with guitar.
