We expect all participants to follow the guidelines for a safer space. They are:
1. Respect everyone's personal space, both physical and mental. For example, ask before you touch anyone. Listen to others. Change your behaviour if it makes someone feel uncomfortable.
2. Respect everyone. Don't assume people's characteristics. They include:
- sexuality
- gender
- nationality
- religion
- values
- education and economic situation
- ability
- health
Refer to people with the names and words they ask you to use. Be aware of your own privileges, for example, wealth and skin colour.
3. Respect other people's opinions and experiences. Don't make fun of or humiliate anyone.
4. Take responsibility of your actions and behaviour. We can affect others' wellbeing when we take notice of others as well.
5. Give others space. Do your best to make sure that everyone gets to speak.
6. If you see harassment, tell the organisers. You can also ask if the harassed person wants help or support.
Join us to make disabled people seen and heard!
