Saunakonkel's guided sauna ceremony takes you on a journey, during which you can close your eyes, take a breath from everyday life and relax on the sauna platform.
A sauna is a space where all four elements of nature are present. Fire, water, air and earth together create the fifth, the sauna. The sauna means the life energy flowing in all living things, it is an inseparable part of a person. In the sauna, the heat of the sauna helps us to delve deeper into our own body, ourselves and nature.
The ceremony includes three rounds in the sauna. We begin by becoming silent in the sacredness of the sauna, we invite the local sauna spirits to join us in the sauna, and finally we dive into the embrace of the forest with the help of the wands. The sauna ceremony is a safe way to deepen your own sauna experience and get to know the Finnish sauna tradition. In the ceremony, we use old Finnish sauna songs and spells, wands made of different types of wood, resin smoke and of course beautifully ringing sauna bells.
Experienced sauna tradition guardians Juha and Matti have traveled in pursuit of the sauna both in Finland and around the world, all the way to Canada and Japan, learning and sharing the wonders of the sauna. In the Sauna Temple ceremony, we take a journey together through the transformative gateway that is the sauna at its best.
