Rural adventure - Trip to the pastures of Hämeenkyrö

The Rural adventure, which is perfect for children, takes you to the rural experiences and natural wonders of the Hämeenkyrö rural municipality, located northwest of Tampere. The educational trip offers a fun respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, giving everyone something new to wonder about, regardless of age.

Departure from the old church in Tampere at 9:00

Yrjölä berry farm

The cozy berry farm offers morning coffee in the middle of the most beautiful national landscape right at the start of the excursion day. In addition to a sweet treat, children are served cocoa/juice. After breakfast, we will explore the berry farm grounds on a trakot ride.

Mannanmäki Observation Tower

The approximately 15-meter-high Lottie Air Surveillance Tower currently serves as an observation tower and memorial. Welcome to explore the tower's exciting corridors and peek over the sky at the stunning lake views from the top of the tower.

Heinäsuo Farm

In addition to the host family, the Heinäsuo organic farm is home to 54 suckler cows, 1 bull and calves, heifers and steers. During the trip, we will enjoy the farm's own burger on the pasture, feeling the gentle presence of the animals. On the farm, you have the opportunity to peek into the soil and see with your own eyes what impact the farm's animals have on the well-being of the environment!

Pinsiö Nursery 

The Pinsiö Nursery, an oasis of flowers and plants, offers a highlight of the day. Afternoon coffee and children's favourite treats are enjoyed at the country café Viljamin Vint. There will be a programme suitable for children and wonderful shopping opportunities directly from the nursery.

Return to Tampere Old Church at 4:30 PM.
