This Summer Park Concert is a night full of rock-hard riffs and attitude, when three rock bands take the stage at Laikunlava.

18.00 Ocala Ray
Ocala Ray is a power trio from Tampere. Folks who have heard the band live described it as a love child of David Bowie & Fu Manchu, raised by a Dinosaur (Jr) at Neil Young's ranch. In the end it is all about the energy & the moment when the band hits the stage. Simo Saneri, drums & Skateboards ( Galaxy Riders, FIN ) Riku Pirttiniemi, bass & vocals ( Death Hawks / Dust Mountain, FIN ) Andy G. Lohner, guitar & vocals (Ira Hayes / Crimson Tide, USA / AUT) Their backgrounds & influences mix different genres into its own Rock'n'Roll Gumbo. Riku bringing in 70s Detroit Garage Rock and Psychedelic Elements, while Simo being a power house Drummer with a feel. Andy, born in Austria, who grew up partially in North Florida surely has an imprint of the music of those times. There is a strong sense of Southern Feel, Americana and College Radio on his side of Bands songwriting. More or less they are who they are and each member brings a vital part to what makes this band Ocala Ray! Their debut album “Déjà Vu On A Brand New Day” was self released digitally and on vinyl under their own label Alachua Records on Dec 2nd 2022.
19:00 Miss Vain
Miss Vain is a five-member rock/metal band from Tampere. Musically, the band creates between their several influences and the songs have a catchy surface, from metalhead to pop and back again! The band has released one EP (Crocus biflorus) last year and new material is planned to be released in the first half of 2024. Previous publications can be found e.g. from Spotify and YouTube.
20:00 SPOIL.
SPOIL. is a combination of big riffs, catchy melodies, and hardcore attitude. This show will be an energetic live experience, where it's easy for everyone to feel like they really belong in the crowd!
The Summer Park Concerts will once again bring a refreshing range of music to Tampere's summer. All Park Concerts are free outdoor concerts, and they are organized around the city. See the entire program on the website.
