Free rapid HIV and syphilis testing

Sinuiksi ry and Hivpoint offer free rapid HIV and syphilis testing to all LGBTQIA+ people at the Sinuiksi ry office. You don't have to book an appointment.

HIV and syphilis testing is confidential. The rapid HIV and syphilis test is done by taking a small drop of blood from the fingertip. The result is ready in a minute. There is an opportunity to get advice for your own situation while testing.

It would be good to get tested for HIV and syphilis test if you have had unprotected sex with a casual partner. If you have used the same injection drug equipment with another person, it would be good to get tested for HIV.

Rapid HIV and syphilis test can be done three weeks after the exposure. For HIV, a negative test result is reliable when three months (12 weeks) or more have passed since the risk situation. For syphilis, a negative result is reliable six weeks after the risk situation.

A rapid HIV test can be done anonymously. Please note that a consent form must be filled out for the syphilis test. On the form, you enter your personal information and give permission to the disclosure of the necessary information so that your treatment can be arranged. Syphilis cannot be tested with a rapid test for people who have previously had syphilis.
